As a Senior Manager at LSL, Berrett brings nearly two decades of experience serving California’s state and local governments and nonprofits.
Berrett’s path to accounting started with a love for the technical side of business. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Accounting (with a Minor in Information Systems), he dove headfirst into the world of auditing in 2007—and never looked back. He’s been a licensed CPA since 2011. Whether it’s preparing an ACFR, navigating a tricky compliance audit under Uniform Guidance, or helping a client implement the latest GASB standard, he thrives on solving complex challenges with calm confidence.
Over the years, he’s helped clients tackle big challenges—from adopting new lease standards to rethinking fiduciary activities—and always with a steady, solutions-first approach. At LSL, he continues that work by leading audit engagements, supporting clients through evolving standards, and mentoring his team along the way.
