Manager
Chloe Zabrek is a Manager at LSL, where she supports government clients through audit, financial reporting, and year-end guidance. She brings several years of experience serving counties, cities, special districts, and state agencies, and she enjoys the variety that comes with working across multiple engagements—each with its own challenges, timelines, and unique reporting needs.
Chloe’s background is rooted in governmental auditing and consulting, including leading audit engagements and helping clients navigate complex accounting requirements. Her experience includes reconstructing capital asset rollforwards, preparing financial statements and ACFRs, and supporting finance teams through audit preparation and compliance questions. In one engagement, she helped a newly formed city finance department work through significant turnover and disorganized records by walking them through the audit process, clarifying what documentation was needed, and breaking down key governmental accounting concepts in a way that helped the team regain stability and move forward with confidence.
As a CPA, she enjoys the team environment of public accounting and the opportunity to work directly with clients—especially when they need help untangling a specific issue. Whether it’s leases, grants, or new GASB guidance, Chloe is known for being thoughtful, responsive, and solution-oriented, with a talent for turning complex questions into clear next steps. Being the first accountant in her family is a point of pride for Chloe. and it’s also made her the most popular person at family gatherings when someone has a financial question!
Outside of work… Chloe is all about quality time with her dogs, family, and friends. She’s a big fan of live entertainment (concerts and musicals are her favorite), loves squeezing in a trip here and there, and has recently started dancing again—getting back into hula and Tahitian dance.
