Michael Wiest is a Solutions Architect on LSL’s Workiva Team, bringing extensive experience in consulting, software implementation, and system transformation. He specializes in helping organizations navigate complex technology environments and build solutions that align with how their teams actually operate—bridging the gap between technical systems and real-world business needs.

Michael has spent the past six years working side-by-side with finance and accounting teams, implementing ERP systems and accounting software. This hands-on experience gives him a practical understanding of the day-to-day challenges finance teams face—from managing data across systems to meeting tight reporting deadlines. He has worked across regulated beverage, regulated utilities, consulting, and marketing industries, supporting clients through change management, process optimization, and end-to-end software implementations.

Michael began his career implementing SAP Business One for breweries before expanding into broader consulting roles with Propeller Consulting and Citrin Cooperman. Throughout his career, he has focused on helping organizations navigate complex technology changes and build systems. He has also led large-scale transformation projects, including a major cloud migration for a utility company where he managed a team of 15 developers and project managers, moving critical applications from on-premise servers to AWS.

At LSL, Michael works closely with clients to design and implement Workiva solutions tailored to their specific needs. He focuses on building the right solution architecture, aligning technology with business processes, and guiding projects from initial planning through full implementation. His approach is grounded in understanding each client’s environment and delivering solutions that are both practical and scalable.

Outside of the office… Michael plays jazz guitar, plays ice hockey, and enjoys running and riding motorcycles. Plus, he’s a dedicated fan of the Los Angeles Chargers and the Detroit Red Wings.
