“I originally became interested in becoming a CPA because my grandfather, aunt, and cousin are all CPAs,” Cheryl says. “But now I realize that being a CPA is perfect for me because I love to help people and build relationships with my clients and my team members.”

Cheryl has been at LSL CPAs since 2015 and her everyday goal is to help her clients, whether that is by savings them money in taxes, answering questions regarding their business, being an advocate for them with the IRS/FTB and other government agencies. She thrives on fixing the tough issues, answering the difficult questions, and explaining things to her clients in a way that they can understand.,

As Senior Tax Manager, she handles a variety of tax-related services, including business tax preparation, plus quarterly & annual tax planning with her clients. She is always there to answer client questions (like why they might owe more from one year to the next) and walk them through complicated tax situations.

She’s consulted with a variety of small businesses and their owners in resolving tax issues with the IRS and the FTB. She also works with her clients’ bookkeepers to answer questions and solve bookkeeping issues like categorizing transactions, booking missed journal entries, etc. to ensure the company’s books and accounts remain organized.

Great Clients for Cheryl … Manufacturers, real estate investors, nonprofits, and small business owners – anyone wanting to grow and get better!

LSL Candidate Tip … Cheryl is a team player and enjoys collaborating with her colleagues to tackle new challenges.

Personal … On days when she is not at work, Cheryl likes to take long family bike rides with her husband and two daughters, 6 and 3. They hike and explore the California beaches on weekends when her daughters aren’t playing soccer.
