Anita Michelsen, MSA, CPA

Anita Michelsen is a Director in LSL’s Consulting & Advisory department, bringing more than 25 years of experience providing accounting, financial, and tax support to business owners across a variety of industries. Her expertise includes serving as Controller and Division CFO, where she oversaw all aspects of financial operations—from budgeting and forecasting to cash flow management, internal controls, and strategic planning. In these roles, she partnered closely with executive teams to analyze performance, identify growth opportunities, and implement process improvements, with a particular focus on the oilfield services and manufacturing sectors.

Anita began her career at Price Waterhouse in the audit services department, gaining a strong foundation in assurance work that continues to inform her client service approach. She is passionate about collaborating with businesses on innovative solutions and financial strategies, taking the time to understand each client’s goals both professionally and personally. Having run her own business for 14 years, she understands firsthand the challenges and opportunities business owners face.

Outside of work, Anita’s commitment to excellence extends beyond her profession—she homeschooled her three children through high school while actively contributing to her church and community. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, holds a CPA license, and in 2016 completed her Master of Science in Accounting at Texas A&M University. Anita enjoys spending time with her husband, three grown children, and three dogs. She is an avid reader and loves traveling with her book and wine clubs as often as possible.
