Cheryl Orcutt, CPA

Cheryl Orcutt is a Partner in LSL’s Tax & Advisory department, where she provides a full range of tax services, including business tax preparation and year-round planning. Since joining LSL in 2015, her goal has been simple: help her clients succeed—whether that means saving them money on taxes, answering business questions, advocating with the IRS or FTB, or untangling complex financial situations. She thrives on solving tough issues, tackling difficult questions, and explaining tax concepts in a way that clients can easily understand.

Cheryl works closely with established privately held businesses and their owners, CEOs, CFOs, and executive teams to address complex tax matters while supporting strategic financial decision-making. She partners with leadership to analyze financial performance, evaluate cash flow, and develop forward-looking strategies that align with business goals. Her client base spans manufacturers, real estate investors, nonprofits, and small business owners—anyone focused on growth, profitability, and long-term success.

A natural collaborator, Cheryl values teamwork with both clients and colleagues, approaching each engagement with a solution-oriented mindset. “Being a CPA is perfect for me because I love helping people and building relationships,” she says—a passion inspired by her family’s legacy in the profession.

Outside of work, Cheryl enjoys long family bike rides with her husband and two young daughters. On weekends, they can often be found hiking or exploring California’s beaches—unless it’s soccer season, when you’ll find her cheering on the sidelines.
