Senior Manager

Scott is a Senior Manager in LSL’s Tax & Advisory department, where he provides strategic tax planning and compliance services for privately held businesses and their owners across the manufacturing, real estate, professional services, and agriculture sectors. Known for his thoughtful approach and steady analytical mindset, Scott focuses on delivering work that gives clients clarity, confidence, and actionable solutions—especially when their tax situations grow more complex.

With experience that spans individual and business taxation, Scott helps clients navigate everything from year-round planning to reducing capital gains through loss harvesting strategies. He has a knack for identifying patterns and uncovering overlooked opportunities, whether he’s advising on timing strategies, investment considerations, or creative solutions such as gifting appreciated securities to family members in lower tax brackets. Clients appreciate his integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to providing advice that not only meets deadlines but also supports long-term decision-making.

Scott’s career in public accounting began as an intern, where his drive, curiosity, and natural strength in problem-solving quickly made him stand out. As he grew into full-time roles and ultimately into leadership, he built a reputation for managing complex tax projects with precision and calm—ranging from multi-entity planning engagements to high-value individual strategies that help clients make smarter, faster decisions. Now as a Senior Manager, he leads teams through intricate tax planning, compliance, and advisory work, ensuring every project is delivered with the quality, accuracy, and integrity clients expect from LSL. His passion for the profession has only deepened over the years, fueled by the challenge of ever-changing tax laws and the opportunity to guide clients through some of their most meaningful financial decisions.

Outside the office… Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, often cheering on his favorite teams—the Anaheim Ducks, USC Trojans, LA Rams, and LA Dodgers. He’s an avid golfer, a dedicated sports enthusiast, and a fan of travel, especially trips to Hawaii or Las Vegas. When it comes to food, he’s always happy with Mexican, Italian, or sushi. And if you’re ever looking for a fun conversation starter—ask him about his favorite Breaking Bad episode.
